Using the double grip tick for more gripping power
After awhile of restoring I had an issue with my skin slipping out of the gripper, At first I was not sure why this was happening so for a quick fix I used a double grip method for a short time.
As of Nov 2023 grippers have been replaced with this new gripper.
Medical grade SLR, these are longer by almost 5 mm and slightly thicker.
Same material as the original just improved for better gripper power and longevity.
If you still have slippage problems ( and I cant see this happening too much with the above gripper ) use the info bellow.
When more gripping power is needed two Grippers or a Bell skin and gripper can used. The DTR works just like normal but with an added gripper that stays on the bells surface.
Adding and removing grippers are easy. Just work the gripper off the top of the Bell. The grippers are extremely durable and I have never ripped one trying to remove it from a Bell.
I am putting my DTR on like normal but with an added gripper on the bell. This greatly increases the gripping strength of a DTR.
Gripper rolled down and ready for action.
In the end dry skin was the cause of my slippage. After I figured that out I was able to go back to using one gripper and never used two gripper again.
