Using the DTR in Dual tension mode
This method allows me to control very precise the amount of tension I want to use. It is a very good way to use high tension settings. The more I  push down on the push rod the more the skin is tightened creating more tension.
As you can see in this photo you cant really tell I have it on even with boxer briefs.  I have worn it with all types of clothing with no problems. Nobody had any idea I was restoring until I opened my fat mouth and told them what I was doing.
I adjust tension by pushing the push rod down and tightening the stainless steel tension hold screw. The stainless steel screw will press against the push rod keeping it from moving. Very little tightening is required.
I put on the DTR just as I would when using elastic tension but without the elastics.
Manual tension using the tension hold screw
Using elastic tension
Pressing my glans against the push plate.
I roll my shaft skin onto the DTR bell.
Rolling the gripper on my skin
Attaching the elastic one end at a time.
Here I am using two elastics for higher tension.
Fully installed elastic tension.

I did not use the DTR while sleeping due to night time erections. I felt doing so could possibly damage the skin tissue from lack of circulation since I would not be removing it as often to take a quick break.

A simple tightening of the hold screw and it is secured.  No need to overtighten it.
Many ask if the DTR is bulky and can it be seen under clothing.
If I want to place more tension on one side of the shaft skin than the other I can do so by installing the DTR slightly to the left or right instead of straight on.

So for example if I wanted less skin growth on the right side I would place the DTR slightly to the right side of the glans. Then when tension is applied it would pull more on the left side.

Applying the DTR  "push method"
This method was developed by a DTR user on restoringforeskin.org it was developed for guys that may find it difficult to attach the DTR when they are first starting out with restoring.
Step one : Place the glands against the push plate.
Step two :Instead of trying to roll the skin onto the Bell, I instead press the push Rod and push plate into the glands and pull on the shaft skin as shown.
Step three : I keep working the push plate against the glands as I pull the skin up.
Step four : I now roll the skin down to the edge of the push plate.
Step five : Keeping the skin just on the edge of the push plate while holding the push plate against my glans.
Step six : I now bring the Bell down to the push plate, careful not to pinch the skin in between the Bell and push plate.
Step seven : I now roll the skin forward onto the bell.
Step eight : Rolling the gripper onto the skin just as I normally would.
Attaching the DTR this way can concentrate more on inner skin growth.
It also changes the position of the DTR so that it "hangs" more comfortably if this is an issue.

Applying the DTR "Roll method"
Since there are two surfaces of the skin you can control which surface receives more stress by using the two different methods.

Need more gripping power    Silicone skins ( condom catheters ) For a cheap way to get even more gripping power.

This method does require a little more skin to work with so anyone that has a tight circumcision might want to use the tugging method first.  I also used the tugging method while I was developing the DTR.
This method was the method I used most.
It was great for inner and outer skin development. I can use any desired amount of tension by using elastics or the tension hold screw. No tension strap meant I could wear shorts in the summer and still restore. This was one of the reasons why I created it.
Parts needed for Dual tension:
  • DTR bell pack
  • 1 Push rod
  • 1 Push plate
  • Elastics (optional)
No, I never had an elastic snap and slap me in the dick or balls.

Caution! Being too aggressive can lead to injuries such as skin tears and bruising or possible other damaging injuries. I've had done this personally in the past from being too aggressive with my routines. Always use your own judgment on how you choose to restore. Pain is not part of restoring. The information on this web site is to show how I personally choose to restore and is not intended as instructions or medical advice on how everyone should restore. What you choose to do with this information you do at your own risk.

Please remember I am not a trained professional Penis stretcher. I only can tell you what I have tried and what other have told me over the years. This is not an exact science.
I have used the tugging method when sleeping without issues however I did not feel very comfortable doing so and did not do it often.  I felt more comfortable using a retaining method instead.  I never recomend restoring when sleeping.
